Q. What made you decide to try CrossFit?
A. I didn’t know what CrossFit was until I signed up for the Groupon deal. I had seen and done some KettleBell work at home, but wasn’t sure I was doing it right and needed to be around other people to be motivated.
Q. What is your favorite CrossFit/training moment to date?
A.One of my favorite moments was jumping on the 36″ box. I wasn’t sure I was going to make it, but being 6’4″, I figured it would be pretty sad if I didn’t, LOL.
Q.What is your CrossFit/training goal?
A.One of my goals is walk around without a shirt, LOL. Ok, a more serious goal is to do muscle-ups on the bar.
Q. What is your proudest CrossFit/training moment?
A.My proudest moment was looking at pictures from a year ago and seeing how much weight I had lost. Looking at myself everyday I couldn’t really see the change.
Q. What was the toughest hurdle when you got started?
A.Running was and is my toughest hurdle, I hate running. Next to running my toughest hurdle would be doing a handstand. It’s all in my mind though. I just need to try it.
Q. What keeps you going in a workout when you sometimes want to quit?
A.I’m competitive, so what keeps me going is not coming in last.

Q. What is your favorite part of Arenal Fitness?
A.I like the people at Arenal, I may not know everyone but they are all very friendly and motivating.
Q. Any advice for new members?
A.My advice for newbies would be to keep coming. It may be hard at first and you may feel like everyone you workout with is “stronger” then you, but in time you will be keeping up with best of them.
Q. How has your training program at Arenal Fitness changed your life?
A.Arenal has made me for fitness aware. I find myself looking for that next thing to do and that has made me more athletic.
