What made you decide to try CrossFit?
Princess Little was the reason that I tried CrossFit. I saw her one day at the gym and I was sharing with her that I was tired of doing the long slow runs to train for road races as well as I needed to get more strength training.
What is your favorite CrossFit/training moment to date?
My favorite CrossFit training moment to date is completing the Abate workout! This is the most grueling workout that I have done. I wanted to quit several times but Mike would not let me! Thanks!
What is your CrossFit/training goal?
My CrossFit training goal is to keep working until I can do the workouts Rx. Also, I want to be more flexible and remain injury free!
What is your proudest CrossFit/training moment?
My proudest moment was when I increased my CrossFit Total score. I increased it by 25 points and had a PR in each category.
What was the toughest hurdle when you got started?
All types of squats because I have not yet reached parallel. But, I have greatly improved! I also want to conquer double unders by the end of the year.
What keeps you going in a workout when you sometimes want to quit?
Susan and Lauren! They are typically my coaches and it seems like each time I am ready to quit they provide some incentive to keep going!
What is your favorite thing to do outside of training at Arenal Fitness?
I really enjoy running and traveling with my girlfriend. We are currently exploring the Caribbeans!
What is your favorite part of Arenal Fitness?
The friendly and family like atmosphere is my favorite part of Arenal Fitness.
Any advice for new members?
Keep on giving it your all and listen to the coaches. You will see results.
How has your training program at Arenal Fitness changed your life?
Since basics graduation in July 2012, I have lost a total of 30 pounds and I feel great! I am stronger and have improved my running times in 1 mile, 5K, and 10K. I reduced my Clyde’s 10K time by 6 minutes! Thanks to all of the Coaches especially Susan!
