January is finally here. The indulgences of the holiday season are distant memories…unless you are still trying to polish off the last of your delicious baked goods in which case those indulgences are still staring you in the face. In either case January is prime time for setting the tone for your upcoming year and to take stock in how much you accomplished in the previous one. In the spirit of giving we will be hosting a free seminar to help kick off your new year of training. The seminar is for everyone who wants to get the most out of their time in the gym and will be especially helpful to those still on their journey to Rx. It will be about an hour of classroom style instruction and will finish with a Q&A, so please bring your Q’s or else we’ll all just be sitting around for 30 minutes looking like a bunch of A’s. We will cover some very important topics like “I’ve been CrossFitting for awhile now, so why is this still so hard?”, “I just started CrossFitting, when will I look like 2012 CrossFit games champion Rich Froning?” as well as tactical goal setting, defining WOD success and helping to find your scaling “sweet spot” to keep you making progress throughout the year.
The seminar will be held Saturday, January 26th at 12:30. Feel free to bring a chair unless sitting on the floor is your thing.
As most of you know I am an exercise nerd. To help support my habit I created a short anonymous survey that will really help me put together the most relevant information for all of you Arenal athletes. A few of the questions allow for additional comments. I love additional comments. Comment until you have nothing left to say or until you run out of room, whatever happens first.
