The June Monthly Challenge Winner Is…..

ROB SUGAMA!!!

Rob will be receiving a Games Gear item that we will purchase when we attend the CrossFit Games in a few weeks.  Rob, email us at [email protected] no later than Monday, July 21st to let us know your general sizes so that we can outfit our next Games athlete in some gear!
While it was a unanimous decision, here are what some of Rob’s coaches had to say about his progress: “it seems like Rob is really trying to take it to the next level. He comes early and does his mobility as well. He also looks like he improved his body composition favorably!” …”and he kicks some serious running a$$ at RunFit every Tuesday. He has a great attitude and always tries his hardest, even when it’s hot and humid out.” ” he is doing an amazing job in class. He is totally open to constructive criticism and is really supportive of his classmates. Besides he looks awesome!! and isn’t that really what we are all striving for…;)”
“Rob S. switched into a new gear last year for KOTV and then again for the Heartbreak Games. Rob was always hindered by reoccurring ankle issues in 2013. However, Rob changed his approach to CF training. He makes smart choices on avoiding exercises that aggravate his ankle. For me, Rob has become an example CF athlete in so many ways. He always has a positive attitude to everybody, the workout, the gym and life – even at 5:30AM. Rob is disciplined in coming on his workout days. He is also observing rest days. On his own, Rob has tapped into the resources as Arenal, asking different coaches questions on how to improve mobility, strength, and technique. At the same time, Rob is honest with himself about his abilities and rarely overestimates what weight he can lift or what exercises he can do Rx’d. Rob is the type of athlete that given two choices of wall balls, he’d always go for the one that is more challenging.

The best thing is that Rob sees results and so do all the other athletes in the morning class and the coaches. I am very excited for Rob because I can see that he has not reached his full potential yet. He has still some awesome experiences ahead where he can surprise himself.

As a coach, I was so happy to see his recent progression on T2B and pull-ups. Rob is an integral part of the chemistry of the morning classes.”
Great job Rob!  We are so proud of you!
