Rebecca Sinclair   WOD: 5,3,2Deadlifts Rebecca Sinclair surpassed her 1 rep max on her deadlift tonight.  It came to pass because she was working with Molly who is a friend and fellow athlete that pushes her beyond what she believes she is capable of. She added 5 lbs to her prior 1 rep max for her last set for 2 reps.  Rebecca is an athlete who has strict self imposed boundaries of what she believes is doable and what is within her reach and tonight she challenged herself and felt supported by her Arenal family. – Jen Mayotte   Rebecca and I have worked together for quite some time. We JUST talked about deadlift the other day as it relates to her clean. She said that her worst workout is the CrossFit Total. She feels that she doesn’t get enough time to do enough lifts to appropriately warm up to chance a 1 rep max. She felt like her 1 rep max was low but never felt like she had the time to push the envelope. We talked about taking bigger jumps during her warm ups reps but as much as 50 lbs in some cases, and then cutting the jumps shorter as she got close to the 1RM. This shows me as a coach that she not only took the advice but was able to execute it. For me as her part time private coach this is a very big deal.
